Born from Directory Assistance

M1 Data & Analytics grew out of the database administration team at Metro One Telecommunications. Using our background in building databases for directory assistance operators, we built a data processing infrastructure from the ground up that could handle the rapid aggregation and dependable distribution of 120 million+ telephone listings to our 30 call centers. Our first-hand experience in serving our call centers, who rely on sub-second response times and 24/7 uptime gives us a unique perspective on data quality. We know exactly how important accuracy and reliability are for success.

Investments in Core Technology

Metro One has been investing in industry leading technology and processes for more than a decade. In the mid 90’s, we purchased a database technology company and used the core intellectual capital to build one of the fastest listing search systems in the industry. In 2001, we started an ambitious campaign to build proprietary clustering technology, to process data 10 times faster than our older mainframe technology. In 2003, we began leveraging our investment in our infrastructure to do batch verifications and appends on files with industry leading turnaround times and accuracy.

Next Generation Processing

Since that time, we advanced to the third generation of our data build and delivery architecture which has even greater implications for the speed and reliability of our databases. Our talented team of programmers has added a number of additional ways to access and store our data, including Smart Search™, historical listings analysis, and neural nets technology.

Birth of M1 Data & Analytics

In 2006, we changed our name from Metro One Data Services to M1 Data & Analytics. We launched a full service ecommerce website offering new connect data, information to help you learn more about our services and additional ways to contact our growing sales staff.
